Visual artist Sigurdur Gudjónsson and composer Thráinn Hjálmarsson collaborate with The Icelandic Flute Ensemble to create Diptych  which will be premiered at the Festival. Diptych will be performed live but will then gain a life of it’s own as an independent piece of visual and sound art. Their work will be exhibited in the Kópavogur Asylum, which is currently being renovated. Its raw interior will inevitably add a voice into this multi-layered installation of sounds and visuals, which is intertwined with the musician’s performance.
